Dear colleagues!
Dear friends!
The scientific program of the fifteenth All-Russian conference with international participation has been completed.
We still have much to consider and discuss about the results of this meeting. But it's already clear that despite some hiccups, mostly due to the organizers and me personally, the conference was a success. Over 50 papers were presented, more than 10 of which were in English. I would like to commend the high scientific level of the papers and discussions.
I would also like to inform conference participants that, as usual, papers prepared based on the presentation materials may be published in a special issue of the journal "Quantum Electronics." This will tentatively be the June 2022 issue. I encourage all participants to prepare and submit their paper manuscripts to me by March 1, 2022, as the first round of peer review will be organized by the conference program committee. It should be completed by the end of March next year.
As I've already said, the conference's results and planning for future conferences will be discussed over the next year. In my view, two issues are of fundamental importance: the official language of the conference and the distribution of time among speakers. Overall, it's clear that we must move toward a fully international format while preserving our democratic traditions, which I spoke about at the opening.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all conference participants!
